Intensive Care Unit,a young and fast developing new discipline with full vigor, was established in 2004. Now it has 18 beds, each equipped a bedside monitor, a ventilator, all kinds of infusion pumps and other apparatus, ensuring professional treatment of critically ill patients. More than 800 patients were treated and monitored in this unit with more than 94% successful rescuing rate each year. As a result, we are confident that our patients will get the best care possible from our outstanding medical team and friendly environment.

Through five years'development, many rescuing techniques have reached the national advanced level and a leading position at the provincial forefront. ICU has also built long-lasting cooperation relationship with a lot of domestic famous hospitals.

Zheng Ruiqiang: Associate Professor,Associate Chief Physician,director of Critical Care Medicine Department, Master tutor. He was awarded the highest prize of "The model worker of China" for his excellent performance. He published 76 academic articles among these 36 articles were the first author or corresponding author. Special Interests: the diagnosis and treatment of severe diseases, such as acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS), multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS), severe various shock, multiple injury, compound trauma, severe acute pancreatitis, DIC, severe acute cerebrovascular disease, acute intoxication, etc. Zheng Ruiqiang is also an expert in the fundamental research and clinical practice of organ function support, acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS),severe infection therapy and clinical nutrition.
