Neurosurgical Department
Neurosurgical Department, municipal key department, was founded in 1961, its faculty includes 2 Master Tutors, 1 chief surgeon, 3 Associate Professors, 3 MD, 7 associate chief surgeons and 2 attending surgeons. The annually admitted patients are more than 1,600 cases. The doctors can provide professional treatment for various neurosurgical diseases, and severe head injury. It can perform lots of complicated microsurgeries such as microvascular decompression of facial and trigeminal nerve, cerebral aneurysms, pituitary tumors, spine cord tumors and etc. The most advanced keyhole surgery can be done for intracranial operation through the thumb-sized bone window; therefore patients can be cured with minimal trauma. Hypophysoma can be minimally invasive treated via single-nostril transsphnoidal approach; intracranial aneurysms can be operated through endovascular therapy.

Hengzhu Zhang : Associate Professor, Associate chief Physician, MD, Master Tutor, vice director of neurosurgery department. Special Interests: brain trauma, brain hemorrhage, intracranial tumor, pituitary adenoma via single-nostril transsphenoidal approach, AVM and aneurysm, spine disease, and keyhole approaches to skull base.
Yong Zhen : Associate chief Physician, MD. Special Interests: He has accumulated rich experience in the treatment of cerebrovascular diseases, such as aneurysms AVM. Particularly, he can use endovascular therapy to minimize the wound of patients and maximally restore their neural functions.
