Nephrology is one of the first Sections that to be created in this hospital. In this section, there are 4chief physician and 3 deputy chief physician, 2 physician 2 residents, 30 nurses and 5 graduate students in the Master. Mainly carry out renal biopsy puncture, various blood purification techniques and peritoneal dialysis techniques.

Nephrology is located in the 2nd floor of Medicine House. There are 56 beds, in this section and the ward environment is bright and spacious, with all kinds of supporting facilities, quiet elegant surroundings. Doctors here are quite good at diagnosis and treatment of various types of Nephrology common and frequently-occurring disease and all kinds of difficult cases. Such as primary, secondary renal diseases, like diabetic nephropathy, purpura nephropathy, vasculitis, pregnancy nephropathy, etc. With the launching of renal biopsy the level of Nephrology pathology is also improved, which is very important for a clear diagnosis, prognosis and guide treatment. They also have the best, largest comprehensive blood purification center in Yangzhou City with the most advanced equipment and technology: 53 blood purification equipments, which including 6Hemodiafiltration machine and 2 CRRT. Except that they also expert in applying of hemoperfusion to rescue poisoning patients and membrane filtration plasmapheresis style to clear autoantibodies in patients with lupus and to renal transplant patients. They can use Immunosorbent assay, removal of lipid absorption to clear immune complexes and lipid composition in human body in order to reduce cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications. Blood Purification Center was found in1976,is the first department to carry out blood purification therapy in Yangzhou City and is the largest and most advanced technical blood purification center in Yangzhou nowadays,

They own 15 Artificial kidney machines, 1 hemodiafiltration machine, 1 full set of U.S. imports of anti-seepage treatment system and 1 Reuse machine.
